– Car key will remember John as a man without complexes. He was my teacher and from him I learned the most – says Jacek Jaśkowiak, president of Poznan. In the 90s Jaśkowiak worked in Kulczyk Tradex, company Jan Kulczyk. – We were on you. This was a man who taught me to familiarity in the world. He showed that if you have faith, you can reach the highest peaks. He won those peaks. Painful for me is the news of his death. It is a great loss for Poznan and the Polish.

What was he like? Jacek Jaśkowiak: – When I worked for him, often we met, we talked a lot. That his faith was contagious. He said that we have to compete to the best. Poland was then a country that opened up to the world. He took advantage and not afraid of that opportunity. He was demanding of others, but also very demanding with himself. Perhaps now he paid for it all. Every success is because its price. I knew that he had heart problems.

– We have seen recently in December last year. We sat next to each other during a Christmas Eve dinner, which we were invited. We talked then about what you can still do for Poznan.
