Tobiszowski: mine Krupiński bring in this year. 200 mln zł losses; We are talking about her future – Onet.pl

“After analysis, it turns out that the mine Krupiński has a problem to achieve a positive result in their activities,” – he said in the Sejm Deputy Minister, responding to questions from Members of Law and Justice on progress the restructuring of the mining industry.

in this context, he called Tobiszowski expectations of the European Commission, which analyzes the recovery program for the Polish mining ; The Commission expects that in the next few years, restructured mines should achieve positive results, as in the case Krupiński can go wrong.

“mine Krupiński has a license (for coal – PAP), 2021, and so and so until then we have to measure, how to continue the mine is operational. this year, the intended result is minus 200 million zł for end of the year, so it is a big challenge. that is why we are in dialogue with the social, to decide what we will continue with this mine do in the context of the whole restructuring process JSW “- said the deputy minister of energy.

for several months representatives of trade unions expressed concerns related to the potential elimination of the mine Krupiński and transfer its assets to the Company Restructuring mines (NDS); employees would benefit from social protection or hit other mines of the company. However, neither JSW, nor the Ministry of Energy is not confirmed yet, that is the plan of transfer of the mine to SRK. Also on Thursday, the deputy minister did not say whether it is a foregone conclusion; acknowledged, however, that the future of the mine is analyzed.

“At a time when we have a problem with investment expenditures, in order to achieve a positive result, the question arises, what is the future of the mining plant – whether it has already run out, whether you should actually invest there, “- said Tobiszowski Members.

recalled that even in the case of transfer of the mine to SRK, no one loses job: crew can freely make use of social protection (leave mine or one-time severance payments), or is working in other mining companies.

“we have no problem employee, we do not have the problem of people employed; it is just a matter of deciding which assets in individual companies, in this case mine Krupiński should have its future “- said the deputy minister.

recalled that the business JSW assumes that for 2025. 80 per cent. of production of the company will be coking coal, reaching the market higher prices of energy, the same cost of production. Currently, coking coal is about. 66.5 percent. JSW production and energy approx. 33.5 percent. Among the mines extracting coal mainly energy and carbon worse, so reaching the lowest prices, the species is the mine Krupiński.

As reported in last Monday on the occasion of the presentation of audit results in JSW, Krupiński for years at a loss. Necessary investment in the mine would cost 320 million zł and would not guarantee the profitability of the plant. Available where coal has coking characteristics bad. “The Board has already reduced the cost of operations, but it is still not enough. We need in-depth restructuring,” – said on Monday Tobiszowski.

When asked on Thursday about the conclusions of the audit in JSW, concerning, among others overspending of the company for consultancy, advertising and sponsorship, the deputy minister said that the audit was submitted to the supervisory board of the company, which – as he said – “implement appropriate procedures to relevant institutions interested in these results (audit)”. He also said that the Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski turned to the Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro to take on the supervision of the Ministry of already ongoing investigations relating to possible irregularities in JSW.

Jastrzębska company is currently in the process of restructuring. Sale of selected assets of the group brought its more than 1 billion zł; now the company is talking with financial institutions, among others, to postpone the deadlines for redemption.
