About a hundred employees of the mine Brzeszcze in Malopolska not left on the surface after the end of the shift. Protest against the closure of the plant.

According to the government’s restructuring plan Brzeszcze Coal Company mine has been closed. Miners say that the decision to liquidate the plant is unfounded.

Nearly a hundred employees after the changes decided to stay underground. This is the information provided to the public by the Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz on extinguishing the mine.

Chairman of the “Solidarity” Stanislav Kłyś Brzeszcze mine told Polish Radio that the protest is spontaneous and was not prepared by the unions. Kłyś argued that the mine Brzeszcze is no prospect of functioning, which is documented in the recovery program.

Brzeszcze mine is one of the czerech coal mining plant in Poland, which is to be closed.
