Warsaw. 25/11/2014 (ISBnews) – Systematic saving every month declared only 2% of people. Another 16% is trying to put off certain sums quite regularly. 34% occasionally manages to save something, and 42% of all spent on current needs, according to a study conducted by TNS Poland on behalf of the Polish Bank Association. Although 80% of Poles believe that saving gives you a sense of security and pride, but for 60% it is worth doing, as long as it does not require sacrifice.
The main factors determining whether someone saves or not, is the amount of expenditure in the household (65% of responses) and the ability of the household (64%). The study “Saving the long term – opinions, attitudes and expectations of Polish society,” was conducted by TNS Poland on 17-22 October 2014. On a representative nationwide sample of 1,000 respondents aged 15+.
