Bulgarian wines do not have equal competitors – PortalSpozywczy.pl

The growing market of grape wines from winemakers tempt many countries. Bulgarian leadership position for the time being, however, is not threatened – tells Rzeczpospolita.

As wine industry estimates, in 2014. Poles bought more than 15 million liters of Bulgarian wines. Thus, the wines from Bulgaria, reigning with us from the communist era, defended their leader.

As reported www.rp.pl their sales increased by almost 10 percent. and it was almost two times higher than dealing podium wines from France (9 million liters) and the USA (8 million liters). Next came wines from Spain and Portugal (7 million liters) and Italy (5 million liters). But the low price of wines from Bulgaria makes in terms of sales – with nearly 190 million zł – take 3rd place, behind the United States and France.

Producers of wine from many countries want to gain a foothold in Poland, because our market has a chance to continue to grow. According to the consulting firm KPMG, adult Pole drinks for now only 5.5 liters of wine per year and ahead of us, not only the French or the Italians, but even the Czechs and Slovaks.
