Treasury Minister Wlodzimierz Karpinski provides, that the construction of the LNG terminal in Swinoujscie will be completed later this year. However, it also notes that the case start LNG terminal is not “so important”.

Vladimir Karpinski said that the security of gas supply to the Polish improved, and so the case start the LNG terminal is not as important as it used to.

The project, however, should be ready by the end of the year. The Minister said that the construction was to be completed in the last year, but, as he said with such projects almost always tend to be delayed.

– Today, 97 percent of the LNG terminal is already done. These missing three percent of it is a matter of some minor detail, but also very important technological start-ups – assured Karpinski. – Maintain so 2015 years, but nobody does not persuade me on a specific date, until the company fail to agree on a trade.

According to Karpinski, there are still opportunities for the extraction of natural gas from Poland slate. Rozbudzono too high expectations on revenues from this source. The Minister stressed that shale gas in Poland is, however, need time to find and examine its deposits. Contribute to this, in his opinion, the work already performed by Western companies.

– Today, conventional gas, we have about 134 billion cubic meters, and the so-called “closed tear” about 150-200 billion – calculated the Minister of the Treasury.

Vladimir Karpinski also said that the government not withdraw from the Polish investment program. Thanks to the amount of the economy have fed tens of billion, and this year will be completed several major projects.
