“Dying Light” worldwide hit – more than 3.2 million players – Onet.pl

Studio Techland announced that during the 45 days of the launch of the game, number of players in the “Dying Light” reached 3.2 million people. Previously the company, reports that in the first week of release in “Dying Light” played more than 1.2 million players. The results include all platforms on which the game was spent Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Previous record Techland established in 2011, the first game in the series “Dead Island”, in which the first week played a million players, and the threshold of 3 million people managed to cross in 90 days – twice more than in the case of “Dying Light”. For now, the new production, however, does not exceed the total of the previous sales record cash basis zombie series produced by Techland. From 2011 until 2014 was sold approx. 7.5 million copies of “Dead Island”. Among the Polish game similar results so far can only boast a series of “The Witcher” CD Projekt Red – sold in September 2014 to a total of over 8 million copies of the first two hits.

Ad Techland is further proof of the success of the Polish production in more than a month after the world premiere of digital. “Dying Light” is still collecting good grades and numerous awards – had never been nominated for 50 awards. The game also maintains a very high place in the sales rankings, among others, in the US, the UK, France, Sweden, Australia and Poland.

“Dying Light” is designed adult survival horror action game with elements of Parkour and open world. In addition to the traditional survival is also possible to play in the “Be the Zombie”, which allows you to put yourself into a monster and hunt for other people while playing online.

World editor of “Dying Light” is owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Produced by Techland company based in Wroclaw, previously known for the series “Dead Island” and “Call of Juarez”. Issued at the end of January 2015 “Dying Light” was billed as one of the main Polish computer hits of 2015.
