Poles would like to pay taxes like the Liberals, but get … – Politics

The Centre them. Adam Smith, every year calculates a symbolic day in which we stop work on taxes and contributions, and we begin to actually make money. This time he fell on 11 June, which traditionally is a good opportunity to complain about how much money the state takes.

rarely at the same time, moreover distinguish that only a portion of these funds goes directly to the budget. The rest of the lands after our retirement accounts or goes to the National Health Fund. In the opinion of contributions and taxes in Poland are high, and this largely ill-spent.

Growing demand

The problem is that while our the public has growing expectations towards the state. We want a better health service, shorter queues for doctors, good childcare for our children, effective education, comfortable roads and trains, and for that decent retirement in old age.

It is difficult to reconcile these demands with the desire to pay lower taxes. But our politicians, from left to right, promise to further lower the tributes. Poland does not have a lot of counting, which would present a program of higher taxes and better benefits. Probably because no one would have believed it.

Scandinavian Health

Meanwhile all European countries, which put a pattern, have taxes and premiums at a level significantly higher than Poland. Renowned for quality healthcare and public education at a high level Scandinavians give their countries a much larger share of income than we do.

It is worth remembering, seeing how changes in Poland, Tax Freedom Day. Americans often as role model of lower taxes than Western Europe, have mostly from his own pocket to pay extra for health care or education, if they want services at a high level. Meanwhile, we would like to pay taxes like the Liberals, but get benefits from the state socialists.

It’s no wonder that so it looks like our political scene, dominated today by parties trying to connect water from the fire. Not because we have neither the right, which is traditionally the guardian of low taxes and limited public benefits, nor left, ready to enter higher loads, but it is increasing these benefits. We are only more or less aggressive economic populists.
