Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz: 15-20 years we can be open-air museum – Virtual Poland

Poland must profoundly revise its economic policy, because otherwise for 15-20 years, we will open-air museum; economically we will not count at all – he argued Sen. Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz on Saturday, during the conference “Polish the future.”

conference was organized by the Democratic Party demokraci.pl. It also participated, among others, Democratic Party leader Andrzej Celinski and the President of the Association of Home Total Poland Ryszard Kalisz.

According to Cimoszewicz, Polish wasted the last 10-11 years. – We’re going with a damaged rudder, without maps, without a compass. (…) There is no serious debate in our country, in our society, of course, zero reflection on the future – he said.

The Senator is convinced that Poland will grow new generations of social pressure on it to “live like the West”. Not only in this material dimension, but also – as argued – will relate the quality of functioning of the state, expectations related to the quality of political ads, political class and many other issues related to the quality of life.

Former prime minister also referred to the adverse demographic trends in Europe and Poland. In his opinion the solution to the problem can only be “properly controlled immigration, which control immigration processes”. – At the same time, not only involving the control of who you let in and who does not, but consists in the fact that Europe will try to control these processes, as well as beneficial for themselves, not hiding this theme – convinced Cimoszewicz.

The Senator also referred to the situation in the east of Europe, associated with the policy of Russia. In his view, this situation may persist for “several years or even longer.” Russia – as explained – she was “in the reign of corrupt clique”.

In the opinion of former Prime Minister “ruling clique in Russia” is not able to guarantee the satisfaction of their society, as a result of wise and effective economic or social policy, therefore, must try to meet different needs. Cimoszewicz noted that in recent years in Russia, approx. 50 per cent. Society lacks “supermocarstwowości state.”

– For half of Russians lost what they had in the period of the Soviet Union, it is very important and Putin at the moment fulfills this need and it certainly explains the high level of support (…), but in view of the relatively long, it is very likely that this policy will be maintained – he said.

Cimoszewicz is convinced that this situation will have a major impact on our sense of security. In his opinion with such policy of Russia involves an attempt to break up the unity of the Western world. – Breaking the unity of the Western world is not only diminish our freedom, but also the destruction of what for other reasons, those associated with the new balance of power, we are most needed. Because our unity is most needed, we need the most closer integration, eg. Here in Europe – he concluded.
