During the press conference, Prime Minister Beata Awl and heads of ministries of finance, family and digitization was asked about the decision of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, which issued a positive opinion supporting the government of the presidential project to lower the retirement age for men to 65 years and for women to 60 years, without taking into account the contribution period.
– The previous government took the right to pensions ladies aged 60 ladies and 65 years of age masters without any consultation. We, guided by the principle of social justice simply want to restore the previous retirement age – Awl said, answering the question why the government decides to “revolution pension.” She pointed out that this is not a “revolution pension” but “justice pension.”
The minister of family and work Elizabeth Rafalska added that the government only gives its opinion, made by President Andrzej Duda.
On the other hand, Finance Minister Paul Szałamacha, whose ministry is in favor of lowering the age of linking with the period of contribution, stipulated that for now it is only a recommendation standing committee, and not the decision of the whole government. – Standing Committee prepares the decisions of the Cabinet, but it is not the Council of Ministers – he said.
