The “Family 500 +”

Prepared by the Ministry of Family Labour and Social Policy program “500+ Family” implies that the provision of education in the amount of 500 zł for the second and subsequent children receive every family, regardless of their income. For families with one child you will need to meet the income criteria – 800 zł per family or 1200 zł for children with disabilities. The benefit will be paid until the child reaches 18 years. The proposal will need to be submitted once a year, in the place of residence.

Applications can be submitted from the start of the program, however, will be three months, which will avoid the queues. If the request is made within the first three months of the program, parents will receive compensation from April 1.

The program will be able to join at any time, but in the coming months, the benefit will be paid from the month in which the parents submit an application . The benefits of a three-month compensation will be paid only if the request is received by June 30.

On Wednesday, a few hours after being signed by President Andrew Duda, law introducing the “500+ Family” was published in the Official Gazette. Provisions relating to the organization of payments by municipalities and pass them on to the measures already in force.

“500+ Family” is a flagship project of the government of Law and Justice, announced in the election campaign. Payment of benefits to be launched in April.
