Ukraine and Russia have agreed that their trucks, which due to mutual bans transit through their territories are waiting at border crossings, within 10 days will be able to return to their country – reported on Tuesday the ministry of infrastructure in Kiev.

the decision was taken after talks between responsible for the transport ministries of Ukraine and Russia. The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure informed that in connection with the dispute in Russia and Asian countries blocked a 650 Ukrainian trucks. On the border between Ukraine and the EU countries in the same situation it is approx. 600 Russian vehicles.

The Ukrainian side has assured Russia that will guarantee protection of Russian trucks on their way to the border. – We appeal to activists that for the next ten days they did not obstacles to the return of Russian cars to home. This is a guarantee that our, Ukrainian drivers will be able to return to Ukraine – appealed Deputy Minister for Infrastructure Oksana Rejter.

On Monday, the government in Kiev issued a regulation to ban the travel of Russian trucks through the territory of Ukraine. They stated that it is a response to the actions of Moscow, which does not allow unduly Ukrainian lorries for journeys by Russia. Ukraine believes that the Russian ban denies the standards of the World Trade Organization.

The spokesman of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov acknowledged the decision of Kiev for the outrageous and illegal to Russian carriers, also pointed out that this is contrary to the norms of international law.
