In January, a large drop in the number of bankruptcy – Republic

As reported on Thursday dedicated to insuring receivables Euler Hermes company in January, fell 48 companies. It’s about more than one-fifth less than in the same month a year earlier. Companies that have disappeared from the market, employing a total of approx. One thousand people, and their combined annual turnover of approx. 430 million. Euler Hermes notes that in previous years, bankrupts do not lose the market – in the last five years, their aggregate revenues increased by more than half.

– This reflects primarily about the liquidity and does not demand the reason for bankruptcy – says Euler Hermes.

in January, the same as in the previous. year, improvement was seen in the construction and wholesale trade. Construction supports the steady growth of investment.

– Despite a decline in the growth of production, due to the effect of a higher base, new investments still provide inflow of funds to the industry, which translates into a smaller number of bankruptcy – says Tomasz Starus, a member of the Management board of Euler Hermes.

But in the construction industry a serious risk is the possibility of delays which may occur in the later stages of the investment. And this may lead to contractual penalties and suspension of payments. An example is the emergence of a group of the January bankruptcy of companies specializing in the construction of roads and bridges.

It does not reduce the number of bankruptcies in the manufacturing and transport. In the latter competition to access to foreign markets, especially in view of a radical reduction in orders in Russia. The transport industry is also visible progressive consolidation.

On the other hand, bankruptcy selector production are primarily associated with the production metal products. This is the company producing metal components for the construction industry and parts for the machine industry.

Throughout 2015, the number of bankruptcy y / y decreased. Euler Hermes said that 747 companies went bankrupt, about 9 percent. less than a year earlier. According to analysts’ forecasts, in 2016 the number of bankruptcies has decreased again, but more slowly – this time by 3 percent. year-over-year. At the same time improving the economic condition of the companies will be uneven and is dependent, among others, of the industry and the size of the company.

Last year’s bankruptcy showed large differences in regional terms. The largest increases in the number of bankrupts were recorded in Silesia (about 22 per cent. Y / y) and Mazovia (19 percent.). In contrast, declines were seen in Wielkopolska (about 29 per cent.) And Lower Silesia (35 percent.), With a record drop – about half – was recorded in Podlaskie.
