Deputy Minister of Energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski estimated that more than 5-hour talks were “tangible and positive.”
On the other hand, Vice-President of the Trade Union of Miners in Poland Waclaw Czerkawski said that although the Ministry of energy declared that next week will be taken decisions on the situation in the Coal Company, it announced on Tuesday a mass rally in KW will be.
– nothing referenced. We are for dialogue, but we will not be deceived. Our opinion is the same: until you withdraw from the termination of the agreement (with the miners) from July 17 last year there is no question of any talks on the situation in KW – said Czerkawski.
Tobiszowski revealed that the government side wants to give trade unionists information, “which are not generally available, because it is the mysteries of the companies” in order to trade unionists able to see what is the point of departure in such a company coal as KHW, KW, JSW.
– as an owner, we have nothing to hide – declared the deputy minister.
When asked about another investor for the Katowice Holding Coal announced that it is interested in the subject of widely understood mining environment.
– We will not close the acquisition of another investor, but such investment must be well prepared and thought out – said the deputy minister. He added that the government has a clear position that it does not want to lose control over the mining sector and wants to be an active owner of KW, KHW and Polish Group Mining.
Tobiszowski said Wednesday that KHW needs capital support row 400-500 mln zł. In addition to the Poznan energy company Enea, capital involvement in the holding company also declared another entity. Deputy Minister did not rule out that it could be introduced to KHW, which in the future would operate under the brand of Polish Coal Holding, not one, but two investors.
After Friday’s talks Tobiszowski also said that the unions asked the government side of it whether the designed retail sales tax does not hit the sector. Minister assured that “the intention of the government is not taxing the sale of coal.” He added that the signal received from trade unionists will be checked and if there were such a threat, that “it certainly will be corrected.”
Earlier, the Minister of Energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski, who also took part in Friday’s talks, did not hide, they were quite difficult. He pointed out that the first three years of talks in the framework of the tripartite team. As he said, “today is dominated by current affairs, which hurts everyone.”
– Businesses are struggling. The atmosphere is difficult – he stressed.
