Journal quotes the latest report of the Central Statistical Office on the structure of remuneration in Poland. It shows that in the last 10 years the average salary in Poland increased from 2,369 zł to 4108 zł gross, an increase of 73.4 percent. Our purchasing power has increased because the cumulative price increase in 2004-14 slightly exceeded 32 per cent., And now we have deflation.
Not all, however, the financial situation has improved to the same degree. While doctors in 2004. Earned 31.7 percent. more than the average, 10 years later, already 71.4 percent. more.
On the other hand – according to the Central Statistical Office – academics were 10 years ago earnings by an average of 82.6 percent. higher than average and is now “only” about half higher. Interestingly much better they earn in the public sector (6441 zł gross) than in the private sector (4339 zł gross).
