“Allegro” has already been sold. That will change the new owners of the site – Gazeta.pl

In an interview with the pulse of the Business David Barker (Cinven), Richard Sanders (Permira) and Paul Padusiński (Mid Europa Partners), he told some details about the direction in which a consortium of funds intends to push Poland’s largest auction in the next several years.

the First and most important condition is the maintenance of the existing situation on the market (currently, the “Allegro” has a little less than 40% of the market). I wonder what the priority is, in this case, the expansion to other markets in our region. The basic plan focuses on the development in our country.

Taking into account the predictions of the new owners on the importance of e-commerce market in Poland (double growth in the next five years), they are counting on the increase in the valuation of the site at the time of exit from investment in 2021.

In development plans “Allegro” appear, among other things, the idea of launching platform for the sale of tickets for cultural events, as well as new services in the field of tourism, media and Finance. The conversation was also about future acquisitions, and possible alliances, but it is clearly visible that the new owners are betting more on the organic development of the site.
