The new program przejazdowy PKP PLK. We know the details… – Market Station

the fact that it is tender, which is essentially a continuation of the important project from a previous perspective of the EU concerning the modernization of roads, railway crossings, road and construction of crossings over the railway, we reported on 7 November. Now we know more investment.

– In the current term, PLK continuing program to improve safety at level crossings. For the company security is the top priority, so we accept, in particular, investments in modern equipment and the construction of crossings over and under the railway. This work was enabled in large modernization projects in individual tasks, – said Gregory Merchel, President of PKP PLK.

the Project “Improving safety at crossings of railway lines with highways” is contained in the National Program Station. Funding is provided from the POIiŚ, and its value is about 400 million UAH. It was divided into: phase I – part przejazdowa stage II – construction of overpasses.

Where will improve safety?

within the first phase of the project it is planned to upgrade the train 182 travels on 73 railway lines in all provinces. The work will be consisted in the upgrade of level crossings by equipping them with devices automatic alarm przejazdowej (SSP), as well as the replacement of those already made. For private crossings will be torowo road associated with the replacement of the pavement lanes and replacing the pavement near the railway track. Will be modernized, in particular, 11 travel on route 26 from Radom to lukova, 10 trips has Katowice – Kursk, after 6 lines of red Helium and Plaszow Krakow – Auschwitz, while on the way from Malbork to Torun repair will take 7 trips. PLK has just announced a tender for the implementation of the project and works. The order was divided into 5 tasks. The project is scheduled for implementation in the period 2017 – 2019.

overpasses and tunnels

In the framework of phase II of PLK will replace the 5 drives motor – road bridge and tunnels. Work within the project is planned on the railway line No. 2 on the section Siedlce – Terespol. The planned construction of a tunnel in Warsaw and Warsaw Rembertow Fun and two tunnels in sulejówek, and the construction of an overpass over the railroad tracks within the street Chełmżyńskiej, which will facilitate travel between Warsaw and scalloped edge. Investments are made jointly with the City administration, municipal authorities of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the leadership of the Provincial Road in Warsaw. The construction work is planned in the period from 2019 – 2020.

– during the reconstruction, we use modern technical solutions to ensure the required level of security, despite the increasing number of cars. The crossings are fitted with remote control device, making any fault in the equipment on the passage indicated by the station. The driver, with the possible malfunction shall be notified by specifying signs warning przejazdowych. The crossings are also being installed device to monitor and record events. Through the study of the investment favorable changes has already been felt not only travelling in trains and cars, but also pedestrians or cyclists, said Miroslaw Siemieniec, a spokesman of PKP PLK.

PLK to improve safety

Modernization and rewitalizacje railway lines, the construction of overpasses, pedestrian underpasses and road tunnels and the introduction of additional safety of passing railway crossings accidents. Besides projects in the field of investment, the Company is also working in the field of technical, organizational and labor. Continuously 12 years and PLK carried out a social campaign Safe passage – “the Barrier is at risk!”. Since 2005, the number of accidents at railway crossings decreased by a third (from 236 in 2005. to 155 in 2015.).
