Since January 1, Lithuania became the euro zone. Coins beyond our north-eastern border can be identified on the Quest.

Just yesterday, the official currency of Lithuania was the point, which was divided into 100 centers. Our neighbors used the same currency in the years 1922 to 1940 and since 1993. As of today, the Lithuanians are transferred to a common European currency. The portfolios will wear the euro and euro cents. The tradition is that each of the countries joining the euro area releases its own coins. Lithuanians decided that appear on the face of the emblem – known moreover with the coat of arms of Bialystok “Pursuit”.

Lithuania joined the same to two other so-called. Baltic republics. Latvia euro replaced their staffs, while Estonia crown. Thus, going to these countries we must longer bother currency exchange. Euro as their currency in 19 European Union countries: Portugal, Spain, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Slovakia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Currency is also used by San Marino, Vatican, Andorra, Monaco, Montenegro, and Kosovo.
