BGK: in the years 2004-2014 issued 132.7 billion KFD zł – Pulse of Business

“In the years 2004 to 2014 virtually all roads and highways have been built with the participation of the National Economy Bank. At that time, the total expenditure of the National Road Fund amounted to 132.7 billion zł, of which 98.6 billion went way zł, debt service fund of loans and issued bonds by BGK for KFD – zł 20.7 billion, and the construction and operation of the charging of tolls and payments to operators of toll highways – 8.5 billion zł “- said vice-president of BGK.

As pointed out by Stepien, the main source of revenue is the fuel surcharge KFD. “In the years 2004-2014 the proceeds of the € 25 billion zł” – he said.

In the years 2006-2014 the Fund also received a refund in the amount of 41.5 billion zł from the EU funds for road projects.

BGK Vice President also said that in the years 2005-2014 the bank to take out loans KFD mainly the European Investment Bank. “So far, within the contracted loans in the amount of money started 23.5 billion zł, while the existing bond issue failed to secure financing in the amount of 30.7 billion zł” – he explained.

He announced the issuance of bonds to KFD, probably the only one this year, at the end of the second or in the third quarter. “It will be a foreign issue in euros, guaranteed by the Treasury with a value of about 500 million euros and a minimum period of 10 years. This will probably be the only issue carried out this year on the National Road Fund” – said Stepien.

In the new financial perspective for the construction of modern roads the government plans to spend 93 billion zł. The money will come from national and EU funds. For the maintenance and management of roads in the years 2014-2023, MIR identified government expenditure of approx. 48.7 billion zł. With this money to be funded preparatory work, repairs, maintenance and reconstruction of roads, as well as activities aimed at improving road safety. Still works are carried out within the framework of the national road construction program for 2011-2015. Spending limit for their implementation is 14.5 billion zł.

Motorway A1 Pyrzowice – Czestochowa and A2 Warsaw – Minsk Mazowiecki some of the investments, which were included in the project “National Road Construction Programme for the years 2014-2023 “.

The project also provides for, among others, construction of an expressway S3 – Sulechów – Bolków, S5 – Wroclaw – Poznan – Bydgoszcz – New Dreams (A1), S6 – Goleniów – Gdańsk, S7 – Gdańsk – Plonsk and Warsaw to the border with the province. KFD there BGK structures since 2004. The purpose of the Fund is to collect and allocate funds among to finance the construction and reconstruction of roads, managed by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. Since 2009. KFD finances all road investments in the government provided many years of national road construction program until 2015.
