“Spiegel”: Greece is planning a multi-billion euro contract with Russia – Interia

According to “Der Spiegel” it is to be advance that the Russian side will pay Athens against profits that Greece will pull out of a planned gas transit Turkish Stream. This pipeline will supply Russian gas to Europe via Turkey and Greece.

“Spiegel” notes the Greek financial weekly “Agora”, which says in the latest issue that has used the money from Russia Athens will want to extend to June negotiations with creditors.

According to the findings of the Eurogroup of February 20, the end of April Greece has agreed with creditors the full list of reforms. Approval of the reform program is to be paid, by the Eurogroup and the International Monetary Fund last tranche of aid amounting to 7.2 billion.

On Thursday, the European Commission announced that it is not satisfied with the progress in the negotiations with Greece.

The government in Athens earlier denied reports that preparing for bankruptcy and resignation from the payment of debts, if he fails to reach an agreement with the lenders.

Turkish Potok bus to replace the South Stream, from which construction of Russia’s Gazprom withdrew after blocking the project by the European Commission.
