Greek – Russian talks in Moscow – Polish Radio

Russia urges Greece to participate in the project “Turkish stream” – a modified version of the southern pipeline. This is a key route for Russian gas to the Balkans and Turkey. Athens decision in this case is still pending.

Magdalena Skajewska , Polish Radio correspondent in Brussels admitted that Russia should not be used in the game against Greece to other members of the European Union .

– Before the meeting, there were speculations that Greece will seek a reduction in the price of Russian gas. However, after talks there is no indication that Russia will change their decisions. There is also considering the embargo imposed on the Greek fruit. You can see that mainly aim was to put pressure on the European Union – reported the Magdalena Skajewska .

Turkish Relations – Europe

Turkey is constantly negotiating its membership in the European Union since 2005, although it gained candidate status in 1987. Relations between Turkey and the European Union are arranged very differently. Today ended a few days visit of the President of the European Parliament Martin Schultz in Turkey.

Konrad Zasztowt of the Polish Institute of International Affairs said that the European Union is very much needed in Turkey, among others, to ensure that it can become a modern democracy.

– Turkey stands out in economic terms. For this reason, the Turks are convinced that their country is effective and does well in the international arena. This conviction will have a good impact on the future of Turkey – explained Konrad Zasztowt .

In the second part of the “larger world” Artur Malantowicz with the Center for International Initiatives toil said the struggle for Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk in Damascus, who recently took the Islamic State fighters.
