Maspex can take Lowicz and Kotlin – Republic

Office of Competition and Consumer Protection agreed to the leading food company in Central and Eastern Europe took over key assets of the company Agros Nova .

The acquisition includes the purchase of two manufacturing plants in Lowicz and Wąsosz and brands: Łowicz, Krakus, Kotlin, Wloclawek, Fruktus, Tarczyn and DrWitt. As a result, the acquisition will create the largest Polish food group with a turnover of more than 4 billion zł.

It will be a leader in many segments of the food market with very strong, recognizable brands. Increasing business scale will better position and the ability to achieve cost and operational synergies, which will be beneficial for both companies – says Maspex.

Activities connected company will be based on the company Agros Nova employees from all locations: Łowicza, Wąsosz and Warsaw and employees of commercial structures.

These included purchase of spare juices Walmark company, a leader on the Czech and Slovak market of juices, nectars and drinks, the acquisition of 100 percent. shares of Olympos, a leading manufacturer in the market of juices, nectars and drinks in Hungary, acquisition of Queen’s, a leading juice producer in Bulgaria, as well as the acquisition of shares in the Hungarian company Plusssz Vitamin Kft – the brand owner Plusssz.
