The nomination of key officials m.in .: new NBP president and members of the MPC is one of the main prerogatives of the president. Who chooses Duda successor Marek Belka?
Who will replace Marek Belka?
– a lot of noise made about the campaign and positions, which are appointed by the President. It got a lot of unhealthy buzz about who will replace Marek Belka. His term extinguished until next year, so today is totally unnecessary confusion. Today, more rational discussion would, as president assesses the mandate of the current President. It is hard to imagine that today the president-elect pointed successor. At this point, Marek Belka would have been incapacitated, because who would listen to him? Everyone would look to the future and expect what he says president candidate – says Bartek Godusławski, journalist Puls Biznesu.
Members more confident than the president
We know for sure that the president no later than February 19 will have to appoint two new members of the MPC. It is a decision only in the powers of the president. For now, it is difficult to mention any names, but looking at previous PiS indication, it might involve nomination for Mrs. prof. Iwanicz-Drozdowska.
In the case of the NBP President approves the final choice of the Sejm
– Everybody probably forget how the election as the President of the NBP. The President shall nominate a candidate, but the voting takes place in parliament and it was there he must obtain the appropriate majority of votes. At the moment we do not know who will rule after the autumn elections. If it is PiS, the Sejm Chancellery and fairly easy to agree. However, if you remain in power AFTER the situation can be difficult and better then consult with the government candidate – adds Godusławski.
