The consortium, which includes the Industrial Development Agency (ARP), Polish Tabor Rail Sp. with o.o and H. Cegielski – Rail Vehicles Factory Sp. z oo signed an agreement under which PKP Intercity will provide 20 cars, will provide funding in the form of a loan contract in the amount of 86 million zł and provide servicing cars for six years, said the IDA.

“The value of the contract in part for the supply of wagons is 145 million zł gross, in the section on servicing cars is 17.5 million zł gross “- reads the release.
In March PKP Intercity reported that this year will allocate more than 130 million zł on a periodic repair of rolling stock. The Company pursues an investment program worth about 5.5 billion zł. PKP Intercity expects that by the end of this year, most of the rolling stock will constitute a new and modernized trains.
ARP is a state-owned company whose strategy is based on three equal pillars: innovation, restructuring and investment. IDA supports the development of enterprises, providing them with loans on a commercial basis. IDA portfolio of companies includes, among others manufacturing companies operating in the following sectors: construction, energy, electrical engineering, as well as in the field of industrial design and innovation. ARP manages two special economic zones: SEZ Euro-Park Mielec SEZ and Euro-Park Wisłosan.
