DHL warns against hackers, who are pretending to be a courier service, send fraudulent e-mail. Opening such an e-mail threatens to install a virus on your computer. Scammers also attempt to extort personal information.

“For several days, our customers, as well as bystanders receive false messages. We receive many signals from individuals and companies that receive the information. This wave of spam is noticeable not only in Poland but also in the rest of Europe “- wrote DHl in the message sent to the media.

E-mails are prepared in such a way to look at the original messages sent by courier. Most of them are indeed in German, but there are also messages in English and Polish. The latter usually wear the titles: “Check the DHL” or “Tracking DHL for the shipment.”

“Please be advised that there is a message generated by DHL, fraudsters illegally use the DHL brand name” – claims the company.

What threatens the fake e-mail? Your message suggests the need to provide additional information to DHL for delivery. We do not know for what purpose, fraudsters can use them later. In addition to the letter includes an annex, the opening of which causes the download to your computer a computer virus.
