MIB: Russia will leave Polish drivers and 15 February – Polish Radio

In the negotiations between the Polish and Russian side on the issue of permits to transport by road, there was a stalemate. If 1 February agreement is not reached, Polish heavy trucks do not enter into the territory of the Russian Federation, and Russian trucks – the territory of our country, and thus – to other European Union countries.

Polish anytime is ready for talks with the Russians – declared today, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure, George Szmit.

The negotiations were to take place yesterday Gdansk, but the Russian delegation did not show up

Polish party declares good will. Today we sent the Russians a letter with comments on their proposals – said the deputy infrastructure minister Jerzy Szmit.

– In this situation there is no Saturday, no Sunday, when it will be possible talks and this will be the willingness on the other hand, the whole Polish side is ready to talk and findings. We sent to the Russian side our attention to the new regulations, their new law. We showed what we want to discuss, perhaps the Russian side needs more time, their analyzes and thoughts – indicates.

The point of contention is the new Russian transport law, which the Polish carriers, wants to eliminate competition by administrative measures – said Szmit.

– Such services are usually worth between 2 to 4,000 euros depending on the type of transport. Just multiply it by 250,000 transport in this direction is already a staggering amount. 18.5 percent of this means for the State – he says.

Pause will not prevent Polish transport carriers

– Inhibition of movement does not mean that we will stand and they lost money. We transport goods in other directions: to the Middle East, at this moment opens to Iran, we carry to Iraq, Afghanistan, North Africa and all over Europe – lists.

– would simply harm us that the Russian because it is a significant element, both in the budget of the transport industry and the state budget – adds a guest.

If there is no agreement until February 1 signed, carriers and the state budget will suffer losses – notes Jan Buczek, President Association of International Road Carriers.

– Page Russia introduced last year a law on control of international transport, as well as a regulation, which radically violating an agreement between the Polish and the Russian Federation, as well as international law and the current practice of carriage – he explains.

– If these regulations come into force, in the way they are interpreted today by the Russian side, it means that our transports in the FR will be limited to 15 percent. For this we can not agree and that we want the Russians to discuss – he said.

According Buczek, the Russians will lose much more

– The most suffer from these carriers Russian . On the surface it seems to them that their ministers care about their interests, and really they bear the main burden. Where we have to redirect our potential, they unfortunately did not – he believes.

The Polish side does not agree to the Russian proposal, by mid-February to extend the existing authorization. It does not solve the problem, increasing the risk of economic and stalled negotiations – said Polish deputy minister of infrastructure.

Until mid-February could be while without penalty, impediments and penalties let go Polish TIR-om the Russian Federation, and Russian – from Polish – in turn Polish proposal at the Russians.
