Tauron builds hybrid power plant. The project provides, among others, construction of the photovoltaic system with 100 kW using polycrystalline (50 kW) and thin (50 kW) photovoltaic panels, construction of energy storage in lithium-ion technology and the control system different energy sources.
Opolnica power systems with a total power of 410 kW, will be adapted to operate in a hybrid system.
This is the first such project in Poland. It will allow research into the various photovoltaic technologies, cooperation with other renewable energy sources, the impact of hybrid power plant to the power grid for its stability, power quality and job opportunities insular. The company also wants to learn about trade produced in this way currents and use of facilities for balancing energy.
the first half of this year, based on a concept developed by the Technical University of Wroclaw, the rise of design documents and required permits will be obtained and administrative decisions. The construction of the photovoltaic system and energy storage will be completed by the end of 2016. Matching the electrical infrastructure hydroelectric Opolnica and building control system are planned for 2018. Full integration of all components is scheduled for 2020. Completion of the research stage and the entire project will be completed in 2023 .
