The appeal of the President of PIR Mariusz Grendowicz should not be a surprise, informally talked about it for several weeks. Quite officially in recent months not enthused by the activities of PIR spoke, among others, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Treasury Minister Vladimir Karpinski and Economy Minister Janusz Piechociński.
– I would expect more, faster engaging resources available for PIR. We assume that in 2014. Engaged by the PIR will be more than 4 billion zł, especially in the energy sector – said Donald Tusk in April.
– We hope that this project ramp-up time will change in a time of intense realization of individual investments – said the Minister Donald Tusk.
The Council of Ministers on 15 April. took note of the information on the status of work on the Polish Investment Programme and the policy objectives of the investment company Polish Investment and Development, submitted by the Minister of Treasury.
Disappointing stage
In July this year. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński admitted that the government was counting on much larger effects of the Polish Investment and Development, and the step of forming the company turned out to be – in his opinion – “unsatisfactory”. After its creation – as he explained – it turned out that the projects that could be supported, not too much.
– Management PIR-u set up an unattractive scale support in relation to the money market. Perhaps for these reasons, we have a significant disappointment – said Janusz Piechociński.
Stones pile
It is worth quoting the opinion of the Minister of the Interior Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz: “Polish Investments and Development are, unfortunately, as it is lofty and very euphemistically called … They simply do not have. What did PIR
In the middle of June. PIR indicated that they engaged in more than 50 projects, of which six of the total value of 4.9 billion zł is very advanced stage. It also highlights that four new projects with a total value of 5.5 billion zł, is the final stage of the preliminary analysis.
