Canal + with financial problems, Vivendi does not rule out closing channels – wirtualnemedia.pl

According to the newspaper “Le Figaro” at the last general meeting of the group Vivendi (owner of Canal +) supervisory board members drew attention to the increasingly serious situation related to the results of the group Canal +.

Vincent Bollore, chairman of the supervisory board of Vivendi reported that currently Canal + has more than 1 billion euros of debt. on the other hand, Stéphane Roussel, president of Vivendi predicted that this year. Canal + can bring a 400 million euro loss. About one million drop in the number of subscribers stations offered by the group.

– There will come time, we would have definitely react. Vivendi will forever fund Canal + – announced Roussel. at last. r. channels Canal + recorded negative EBITDA of 264 million euros, while net loss amounted to 76 million euros.
