– We are pleased initial interest of Japanese firms nuclear power plant construction project in Poland – said Zdzislaw Gawlik, Secretary of State at the Treasury during a meeting with Yosuke Takagi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan
Zdzislaw Gawlik was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the Ministry of the Treasury also said that the ministry counts on the participation of Japanese suppliers of integrated technology in the proceedings, which is intended to lead to the decision to build a nuclear power plant in Poland.
Yosuke Takagi assured that his government is ready to support this project, both in terms of training of specialists, system activities, or financial support.
– I welcome the declaration of the Minister that government credit agencies in Japan, could become involved in building this project, to be implemented by national champions, like PGE, Tauron Group, the Group of Enea, companies from the energy sector and KGHM – said Zdzislaw Gawlik.
According to the Deputy Minister, Polish-Japanese cooperation in the energy sector is developing in an exemplary manner.
– In the area of energy we are huge construction site – from the south to the north of the area of our country’s various power groups carry a lot of investment on a scale unprecedented in Polish history. Most of these investments are carried out in collaboration with Japanese suppliers – Zdzislaw Gawlik said.
During the April VII of the European Economic Congress in Katowice representatives of Japanese companies asserted that the construction of Polish nuclear power plant are counting on cooperation with Polish companies.
– We need good local companies that can work on building a nuclear power plant in Poland. In Poland, such companies are many. Already, a list of suppliers with whom we can collaborate on Polish nuclear project – declared in Katowice Takao Kurihara, general manager. Nuclear systems, international sales and marketing manager of the department of development of nuclear power in Lithuania with Hitachi Power Systems Company.
