Imprecise rules

New project bad for students?

The amendment to the Teachers’ Charter has already gone through the entire path legislative and was adopted by the Parliament in the third reading in mid-March. Now the project was sent to the Senate.
The project in addition to the elimination of hours of card provides for the introduction of a central register of disciplinary decisions against teachers. They have to be stored therein data about teachers legally sanctioned punishment of expulsion from the profession or punishment exemption from the prohibition of hiring in the teaching profession (in period of 3 years from the punishment), and to suspend the teacher from his duties. Extended also provisions on disciplinary responsibility and requirement of good conduct for all teachers, regardless of the dimension of their employment.
The draft amendment proposed legislation that will facilitate planning and paying a one-time gratification monetary teachers, the Minister of Education will award the title of honorary professor of education. This would be 450 thousand. zł per year. Funds for this purpose have to be separated in the budget.
The amendment is expected to enter into force within 14 days from the date of publication except for the provisions on working time of teachers, which will take effect from 1 September 2016. And the provisions for financing gratification money for teachers, which was awarded the title of honorary professor of education (1 January 2017).
