On Wednesday Ladybug saved in time nearly half a billion dollars. How? According to the government version of the trade tax of hours. 16, the network had to pay 800 million zł tribute annually. However, as set out after hours. 17 government reduced the tax to 350 million zł. Similarly, the other big players. On the change will lose a medium-sized Polish retail chains – according to calculations money.pl.
On Wednesday, the government had to present the final version of the trade tax, over which runs from November. Head of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers Henryk Kowalczyk came to the Parliament to consult with the merchants proposed a progressive tax with three rates (more on this here). It Premiowała small and medium-sized companies.
Most they gained while the franchise network – was that you should not combine the income of small shopkeepers operating under one brand. Each store would pay a separate rate. De facto, this means that almost none of this type of facility would be clad tribute.
According to the calculations money.pl, the major tax payers in this form would be big retail chains. Ladybug would pay annually approx. 830 million zł, 220 million zł Lidl, Tesco 213 million zł. More than 100 million zł would have to fork out a Kaufland and Auchan. Such a proposal, however, functioned only for an hour.
At the end of the consultations with retail chains Minister Kowalczyk said that the most optimal proposal is a flat tax with a rate of 0.9 percent. and a very high amount of tax-free in the amount of 204 million zł per year (17 million zł per month). He added that this version most likely will go to parliamentary work.
What is changing? First of all, much less to pay tribute to a large network of supermarkets and hypermarkets and discount stores. Ladybug per year would have to pay only 350 million zł trade, or 479 million zł less. Lidl saved in an hour more than 120 million zł – tax will be for him, 102 million zł. A Tesco instead of 213 million zł pay should be 99 million zł.

data for 2014 years, and in the case of shops marked with an asterisk (*) for 2015. the information applies only to trade tax, rather than corporate tax. When calculating its stores from the tax base will be able to deduct the sales tax. ** For Media Saturn we used only the first tax scale in the original proposal. Each of the stores of the network is no separate tax identification number. |
The change will lose while the medium-sized Polish shops. From a few hundred thousand to over a million more to pay, among others, Alma, Peter and Paul, Neonet and Emperia (brand Daisy). Angry because of this in the Parliament was Marcin Filipowicz, president Mediaexpert. Theoretically, the network that sells electronics will benefit from the changes, but at the same time his biggest rival – German Media Saturn, which is the owner of commercial brands Media Markt and Saturn – do not pay tax at all.
That’s because in this network, each of the 71 shops is a separate company. All have one owner in Germany, but the thought of a new idea of the government will settle separately – decided to leave the settlements and franchise chains operating under a single brand for the NIP. Assuming that everyone has a turnover of around 60 million zł, this means that in total, all would pay 12 million zł tax. Having a little less turnover Mediaexpert – up to 55 million zł.
The second version of the tax assumes 204 million zł tax-free amount. This means that Media Saturn does not pay anything, and Mediaexpert 34 million zł.
– Germany work in this formula for years. We can not now be divided, because it could approach the action exclusively aimed at tax optimization. And then we had paid and taxes, and a financial penalty – says Marcin Filipowicz money.pl.
However, another manager of a medium-sized network states that no one will not fear and will mass sharing businesses.
– after all, almost everyone has a few companies. Poprzerzuca So these stores to other companies and so. Today everyone is talking only about this. Accounting according to NIP means that everyone will flee in several entities – says in an interview with money.pl
