UniCredit and Amundi entered into an agreement for exclusive negotiations on the sale of Pioneer Investments in favor of Amundi – said the Italian company. “Financial Times” reported that the transaction amount can reach up to 3 billion euros.
In mid-November, UniCredit has confirmed receipt of the proposal at Pioneer Investments and announced that the negotiations with potential buyers. Italian Bank has submitted that during deep revision of the strategy around optimizing the position of the group companies, increasing profitability and ensuring continued transformation activities along with opportunities to create value.
Previously, UniCredit reiterated that negotiating with the ROM and the Polish Foundation for the Development of a sales opportunity belonging to the Italian Bank Pekao shares.
Amundi is Europe’s biggest company, which manages assets of € 1 trillion euros in the world. Has six investment hubs located in the major financial centers of the world.
