Cauliflower collections amounted to 247 thousand. t and was 17.5 percent. higher than in 2013. The production of onions in the current year is estimated at approx. 636 thousand. t, ie. by 15.4 percent. more than the harvest last year.

Carrots collected an estimated 822 thousand. t (by 10.8 per cent. more than the one obtained in 2013.), and the production of red beet – 354 thousand. t (by 18.7 per cent. more).
smallest increase in production was recorded in the case of tomatoes, which are very well plentiful in 2013..

In 2014. harvest tomatoes rated at 274 thous. t, which is only slightly higher than last year Harvest cucumbers were more than 7 percent. higher and amounted to 272 thousand. t
In the current year has seen another record production of fruit from the trees. Collection was estimated at over 3.6 million tons, ie. By approx. 3.0 percent. more than last year’s record production and more than 44 percent. more than the average yield of the years 2006 – 2010. At such high results was mainly due to a bumper crop of apples this year.

3.2 million tons of apples
It is estimated that apple production this year was 3.7 percent. higher than last year’s high and up by nearly 50 percent. higher than the average of the years 2006 to 2010. The experts evaluated the CSO apple harvest approx. 3,198 million tonnes.

– About obtaining a record of apple production was mainly due to exceptionally high yielding varieties and most entering into a period of full fruiting newly established plantation. To estimate the production of fruit from the trees, as in previous years, included this species growing area of ​​gardens and orchards, crops outside – explains the CSO.

Pears little less
pear harvest in 2014 amounted to about 74 thousand. t, ie. by 1.7 percent. less than in the previous season. Yielding trees of this species was higher than last year, but has been reducing the size of the crop.
Plum production in 2014. Was estimated at 107 thousand. t, ie. by 4.7 percent. more from harvest of the previous year. Plums yields were significantly higher than last year, while there was a significant difference in yielding different varieties of plums.
Cherry collection in the current year amounted to 178 thousand. t and was 5.4 percent. lower than last year. This year’s cherry production would be much higher if there were no problems with the disposal of this species of fruit – some growers abandoned their harvest, due to the low purchase price.
Cherry production amounted to approx. 49 thousand. t, ie. by 2.0 percent. more than in 2013.
total harvest fruit bushes and berry plantatio ns in the current year amounted to 568 thousand. t and was 6.4 percent. lower than last year, but nearly 11 percent. higher than the average yield of the years 2006 – 2010. Compared to 2013, there was only an increase in the production of strawberries and raspberries.
