Office of Electronic Communications announced a competition for the universal postal service provider. His winner in 2016 will provide and receive correspondence in every Polish municipality at least 5 times a week.
This is the biggest competition since the postal service tender for the courts and prosecutors’ offices. A spokesman for UKE David Baker explains that the winner will have time to prepare for the office.
– Half year we would like to resolve this competition already and know the person who will provide universal service, as an operator set so that the operator had six months to prepare for this role.

– This is another form of postal services must be available. This means that the operator can not say that to him for this activity in a given area does not pay and, consequently, it closes the business. The operator must provide such services even in an emergency situation the country – said the spokesman of UKE.
Companies can apply for the competition to 14 April next year. The winning company will act as the designated operator duties for 10 years. Until the end of 2015 will fulfill this obligation, the Polish Post. In Poland, there are about 300 registered companies that provide postal services.
