The owner of the company, which built the first houses on the water Michael Szafranski told PAP that the first floating houses will be on display in May. The buildings, which could be moored at the marina and anywhere on the waterfront as a whole are being built at a shipyard in Olecku by original idea. Szafrański ensured PAP, the cost to build a house on the water is less than the construction of a traditional home.

Szafrański told PAP that the idea of ​​a floating home was made for two reasons: first, in order to be able to relax away from other people, even in the wilderness, on the water. Secondly, it is to be an alternative to the crowded summer Masurian ports. “There’s no hiding that in the summer time in ports is so cramped that there is no place to moor. These homes will not need ports: they can be moored at the marina, but also in any place on the waterfront (preferably a place where there is no big waves – PAP). Currently, the law allows for the use of the waterfront without any permits and fees, “- said Szafrański.

Mazury yard builds prototypes floating homes in two sizes larger (11.5 m long and 3.9 m wide), which will have two triple rooms with private bathrooms, and between rooms will be modern kitchen insular ( common to both rooms). “Our intention of this option will be able to use hotels that have already expressed interest in houses on the water” – admitted Szafrański.

The smaller version of the floating home (8.6 m long and 3.9 m wide) will be used for one family.

Szafrański told PAP that the houses on the water, but will be equipped with an engine and will be able to swim, in the first place will be allocated to the apartment. “Houseboat, however, are more swimming than flat,” – he said.

An important part of the house on the water is to be a large septic tank constructed so that they can not be poured into lakes (now Hawaii there are several places where you can suck impurities pump). Shipyard that builds floating houses wants local governments bought the ship for emptying septic tanks. “In our common interest is to ensure that the sewage from boats or houses do not end in the water” – said Szafrański, who has already spoken on this issue, among others, the mayor Giżycka Mark Jasudowiczem.

Jasudowicz PAP said that the idea of ​​the houses on the water is an interesting and innovative to Hawaii. “Unfortunately, the budget hole in the municipality of Gizycko will not allow us to buy such a ship already this season. We’ll think about that for sure, because it’s worth,” – said in an interview with PAP Jasudowicz.
