This year’s cherry production would be much higher if there were no problems with the disposal of this species of fruit – some growers abandoned their harvest, due to the low purchase price.

Production of cherries amounted to approx. 49 thousand. t, ie. by 2.0 percent. more than in 2013.

The total harvest fruit bushes and berry plantations in the current year amounted to 568 thous. t and was 6.4 percent. lower than last year, but nearly 11 percent. higher than the average yield of the years 2006 – 2010. Compared to 2013, there was only an increase in the production of strawberries and raspberries.
