Consumers have a new law for Christmas. OCCP explains – Dziennik.pl

The Vice President of the OCCP-in, Dorothy Karczewska explains that the entrepreneur will have to get to the consumer with the relevant information. If the price of the product consists of several elements (for example, shipping), the seller must inform each of them.

The changes also apply to returns and complaints. As explained in an interview with IAR deputy head of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the client in the case of returning the goods will decide whether to repair, replacement, or a cash refund for the price reduction.

Dorothy Karczewska notes that similar provisions apply throughout the European Union. The introduction of a new law on consumer rights is a consequence of the adoption by the European Commission in 2011 directive regulating this issue.

The new rules involve, among other things take longer to withdraw from the agreement concluded by the internet or off-site from 10 to 14 days .
