Chinese currency is pegged to the Euro, us dollar, British pound and Japanese yen. This is the largest such change in the so-called basket of reserve currencies since 1999, when the Euro replaced the German mark and the French franc. Chinese people’s Bank in a statement noted that the inclusion of the yuan in the basket of currencies that compose the special drawing right, is a milestone in umiędzynarodowieniu of the Chinese currency and the confirmation of the economic achievements of China.
Plans to integrate the yuan into the basket of reserve currencies of the international Monetary Fund announced a year ago. Critics of the decision believe that the Chinese currency does not meet the requirements of the Fund. According to analysts, the decision of the International Monetary Fund will have a small effect on the increase in demand of foreign investors to Juan.
