Reducing the amount of transported gas was without prejudice, Poland expects the Gazprom explanations on this issue – said the minister Naimski.

“We were dealing with a reduction in natural gas supplies from the Russian operator Gazprom PGNiG SA under long-term contract. Between 22:00 and 30 June 14.00 on July 1 was reduced supplies of gas supply from the east by approx. 20 per cent.” – He wrote in the message Naimski.

Repeated such events can have an impact on the stability and security of supply for consumers,” – he stressed.

“This is another time when it appears that Gazprom does not meet criteria for a reliable supplier, “- he added.

Naimski Minister expressed his expectation that Gazprom provide on this comprehensive explanation operator of the gas system in Poland – Gaz-System, customers and gas – PGNiG.

The fall in supplies from the east notified also responsible for the transmission of natural gas in the Polish company Gaz-System. According to a company from the Thursday morning we observed a gradual drop in pressure at the point of Drozdowicze on the border with Ukraine.

Gaz-System pointed out that on Thursday at 16:15 Ukrainian transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz told him to reduce the amount of gas transferred from Russia and intended for the transmission of transit through Drozdowicze to European countries.

“Ukrtransgaz pointed out that his intervention at the operator of the Russian Gazprom remained unanswered. To 22.00 pressure at Drozdowicze allowed the collection of gas in amounts smaller than the nominations received. After 22.00 Gaz-System received another message from Ukrtransgaz for further depressurisation at the point of Drozdowicze “- said the company.

Gaz-System noted that due to low customer demand for gas occurring in the summer, the possibility of temporary reductions in pumping gas into storage, the use of other sources of supply, in particular the LNG terminal, the situation did not pose any threat to the security of gas supplies to consumers and stable operation system.
