The Greeks sent the head of the Eurogroup savings program – Puls Biznesu

“The President of the Eurogroup received the new Greek proposals; important institutions (creditors) took them into account in its assessment (request for assistance submitted by Greece – PAP)” – wrote on Twitter spokesman for the head of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloema Michel Reijns.

He announced that there would be no comment until the head of the Eurogroup institutions, namely the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank and the European Commission did not assess the proposals of Athens. He confirmed that the Eurogroup meeting will be held on Saturday.

Also the head of the cabinet of the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker Martin Selmayr said that the Commission received the signed proposal. Previously, he wrote denying reports of receipt of the proposal that list, who came from Athens were niedopisane.

Once you’ve supplemented them, Selmayr stressed that now they will be evaluated by the three institutions representing lenders.

Representatives of creditors – as previously announced – are just after the reform proposals will affect, deal with them so as to provide their assessment of the finance ministers of the euro.

In line with previous findings, the deadline for presentation of the Athens lenders reform plan that could be the basis for the negotiations on the third aid program for Greece, passed at midnight on Thursday. On Sunday the Eurogroup summit is planned and the EU summit, which can either give the green light to start talks about support for Athens or – in the case of absence of an agreement – to discuss the consequences of a possible Greek default.

Journal “Kathimerini” reported on the website that the proposals were also sent to the Greek Parliament, which will vote on them on Friday.

Greek newspaper writes that the work on proposals finalized at the morning meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras Deputy Prime Minister Yannis Dragasakisem, minister of finance and economy Euclid Cakalotosem Minister George Stathakis. Then the proposals presented to the Cabinet. According to sources cited by the newspaper, during the meeting Tsipras told his ministers that he wants to reach an agreement with creditors.

Most of the members of the cabinet accepted these proposals. Among those who opposed them was energy minister Panayiotakis Lafazanis, who argued that they will not solve Greece’s problems. Lafazanis previously expressed opposition to the third financial assistance program with strict austerity measures that inhibit economic growth.

According to Greek media reform package is expected to bring in over two years a total of 12 billion euros, or about 4 billion more than expected its earlier version.
