Wylotówka from Warsaw already available for drivers – Banker

wylotówki Excerpt from Warsaw to Katowice and Wroclaw site now open. Drivers drove the new section of the S8 half a year ahead of schedule. A road builders are hoping that it will enable to reduce the tedious traffic jams on the road leading from the capital to the south.

As a general contractor S8 motorway section Opacz Janki we are very pleased that in the midst of the holiday season can relieve drivers traveling through Warsaw or departing from Warsaw to the south and to open ahead of schedule stretch S8 expressway between the node Opacz on the South Ring Road and the junction of Warsaw, Warsaw Janki – says Wojciech Trojanowski, a member of the board of Strabag.

New nearly four-mile stretch of the S8 will reduce traffic jams near Warsaw Raszyn which hindered not only the trip in the direction of Silesia, but also were the bane of residents of towns near Warsaw.

The new section is a bypass Janek and Raszyn. Drivers node Opacz on the southern bypass of Warsaw will now have direct access to the S8, skipping almost always congested village.

With the new road will not benefit at the moment traveling in the direction of Kielce and Krakow, which is the national “seven,”. S8 connection with wylotówką in this direction is the next stage of investment.

Starting a new section means changes in the organization of the movement.

This is not the target organization. For now, the most convenient departure, a new route is a trip for drivers going in the direction of Wroclaw and Katowice. Drivers going in the direction of Krakow and returned to Warsaw S7 will continue to use the existing route through Janki and Warsaw, but now there will be a much smaller volume of traffic than before – says Agnieszka Stefańska, a spokesman for the Warsaw branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.

On the stretch of the S8 uses innovative surface. It will extend the life of the road without the need for significant repair of the structure. They will be required only periodic replacement of the surface layer, ie. wear layer. The new design also should not be a problem with pavement rutting.

In accordance with the provision of contractor route will be much more resistant to pressure automobiles, which is associated with financial benefits for the Treasury, as repairs will be less frequent, shorter and will have a shorter range, and the benefits to drivers who are had significantly fewer impediments – explains Stefańska.

The progress of work on the section Warsaw Janki node – the node Paszków (3.5 km) is now approx. 80 per cent., While the rest of the year will be rebuilt national road No. 7 from the node Janki Small to the junction with provincial road No. 721 Sękocin Forest village. The progress of the works on this section is approx. 70 percent.

This is the first part of this investment, the rest will be done by the end of 2015. It will mainly traveling from the direction of Krakow’s integration into the national road S8 through a newly created S7 route connecting nodes with the road S8 – explains Wojciech Trojanowski, a member of the board of Strabag.

As the Trojanowski, thanks to the good cooperation with the investor, or the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, this segment was able to build much earlier than is apparent from the contract. The project is implemented in the “design and build”. Strabag was thus obliged to carry out construction works project, get all the necessary permits and carry out the construction. This formula is associated with several risk factors, because – as stressed member of the board of the company – so important is cooperation with the customer. In his opinion, the legislature and the contracting authorities should consider introducing a system of contracts motivation for the contractors.

Such instruments is not in the current contract, and I think it would be a good motivation for major construction companies to shorten lead times – says Trojanowski. – This would give relief to drivers and would make the highways would arise faster and contracting would give more opportunities, for example. Extension of the toll collection system on dual carriageways.
