The plant could be built in Krakow; investment cost is estimated at about 1.2 billion pounds (1.7 billion euros).

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Janusz Piechocinski said in early July that Poland competes with Slovakia on a large investment in the automotive sector. According to him, it would be the largest factory in the history of Polish automotive industry and the investment value of over 7 billion zł.

Piechociński noted that in terms of investor “top shelf” and “car premium category.” Asked if he could walk on investor from India, refused to confirm this information. “Our potential partners are asking for restraint,” – he stressed.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that ultimately the investor would like to produce 350 thousand. car and start production in 2019. He added that the investor wants to start construction of the factory before the end of the third quarter of this year.
