The good news for motorists traveling to Warsaw. Road engineers put into service a new piece of the S8 expressway from Opaczy to Janek. As a result, a segment of a highway, driving to Warsaw eg. From Katowice and Wroclaw, will bypass the difficult route running through Janki and Raszyn.
The new section S8, which is the southern route entry and exit of the capital, is exactly 5.8 km. It was connected with the national road No. 8 and opened for five months ahead of schedule.

Coming from Jim and Raszyn to the national road No. 8, in the direction of Katowice and Wroclaw drivers will be able to join by the national road No. 7, then driving the regional road No. 721. The most convenient route from Warsaw to Katowice and Wroclaw from Al. Krakow’s leading route S2 in the direction of the A2 in the direction of Poznan, and then on node Opacz in the direction of the newly built S8 Wroclaw and Katowice. This traffic organization will be in force until the opening of Warszawa-Janki junction, which is formed as part of the reconstruction of more than 11 km section of road No. 8 to the parameters of the express route section Opacz-Paszków.
The second phase of construction ekspresówki in the direction of Krakow has be committed in December. The contract also includes the construction of 2.5 kilometers of the connector to the junction with provincial road 721. The total investment worth 565.7 million zł is co-financed by EU grants under the OPIE 2007-2013.
