MSP does not envisage raising the nominal value of the shares, among others, PZU and KGHM – Banker

Minister of Treasury does not foresee an increase in the nominal value of the shares they manage companies, including PZU, KGHM and – announced on Wednesday PAP Minister of the Treasury Dawid Jackiewicz.

 

“We do not anticipate any such activities. We analyzed the company and did not see the need to transfer funds from the supplementary capital to capital” – he said.

 

A few days ago at the request of the Treasury General Meeting of PGE voted to increase the nominal value of the shares of the company from 10 to 10.25 zł, although initially requested by the Treasury to raise this value to 13 zł per share. With this transaction, the company will have to pay the tax payable by shareholders. The company is currently waiting for the interpretation of tax, how it is to be calculated this tax.


 

PGE is supervised by the Ministry of Energy. On Tuesday, Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski asked if this type of capital increase, by increasing the nominal value of the shares is planned in other companies of the Treasury, said: “to organize the capital will have to take place in some companies, it will be possible to talk about double the nominal value of the shares” .
