The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announced a tender for the execution of the program concept for the northern bypass of Krakow. Bypass has had no luck, but this time the authorities are determined to road finally established.

Discussions about the construction of the bypass ongoing for years. There were ongoing scuffles, who has a construction finance: short of money, the government was not willing to pay and tried to cede its implementation at the local government. That changed when the minister responsible for the construction of roads has been Adamczyk, a deputy from Krakow. Construction of the bypass was one of his campaign promises. In May, the government amended the Regulation on the network of motorways and expressways and section went to the national road network. The Ministry of Infrastructure estimates that building a 15-kilometer section of the ring road will cost about 1.5 billion zł.
