As many as 150 calves, which arrived from Romania to Gostyn, were sent to slaughter . Veterinary inspection detected in animals bluetongue. Should we be afraid?
Bluetongue was first attacked in southern Africa in the late nineteenth century. Poland, until recently, been free of the disease, which kills animals. The first case of the disease was recorded in 2006. The most common symptoms include fever, drooling, redness and swelling of the lining of the mouth and blisters and ulcers .
