UK immigration policy has failed – Polish Radio

Soon after coming to power, Prime Minister David Cameron promised his countrymen that net immigration will fall from the hundreds of thousands per year in the last decade to tens of thousands for his governments. Now the deputy interior minister James Brokenshire admits that the government did not keep his promise, but blamed the EU rules and believes that Prime Minister Cameron is right wanting to aggravate approach to freedom of travel and reduce the power of attraction of the welfare system.

Yvette Cooper , a spokeswoman for the opposition Labour Party, explained while The Guardian newspaper that the problem with the approach of the government is that it treats the whole immigration in the same way. We know that you need to have a proper, selective approach – Cooper argued.

But it is hard to believe that the disclosure of such data on immigration just helped the Labour Party in the upcoming spring parliamentary elections. According to the British commentators on the disclosure of government fiasco undoubtedly the most benefit Anti-EU UKIP and anti-immigrant party.
