Kremlin: Russia’s sanctions against bad for the global economy – banker

Kremlin warns against prolonging the western sanctions against Russia. The Advocate of the Russian president, continuing the sanctions will have a negative impact on the global economy. Dmitry Peskov referred to the decision of the leaders of the G7 countries, who have decided to maintain restrictions against Moscow.

The Kremlin spokesman hinted that the Russian authorities have so far not address the issue of sanctions. Dmitry Peskov recalled that Moscow lift the embargo on Western goods when the European Union, USA, Canada, Japan and other Western countries withdraw their sanctions against Russia. – We do not think that similar decisions had a positive impact on the global economy and the processes occurring in the world – the spokesman said.

The Western countries have introduced sanctions against Russia in connection with the annexation of the Crimea and the war in Donbas. In response, Moscow imposed an embargo on Western food.

Allow the G7 on the extension of sanctions against Russia
It should help the European Union decision on the matter. The EU
restrictions expire at the end of June, and their extension needed
 unanimity.

The G7 summit in Japan sailed
a clear message – sanctions should be maintained, because Minsk
a ceasefire agreement in the east of Ukraine is not
realized. But the leaders of the US, France, Great Britain, Italy,
Japan, Germany and Canada, and the European Union also recognized that
restrictions may be tightened if needed.

Usually,
It happened that the EU countries, the G7 decision in this case was
determinant. For now, at European level officially issue
sanctions is not discussed, but with different capitals flowed
reports that Cyprus, Hungary, Italy, Greece and Slovakia want to alleviate
 restrictions on Russia.

In next month’s issue future
sanctions will be officially discussed in the Union. First, as always, will take
to the ambassadors of the member states, and later ministers
foreign. In case of disagreement, the decision will take Europe
 leaders.
