Representatives of PKP Group and the Archdiocese of Krakow today signed a cooperation agreement. In connection with the WYD developed a special modification of the timetable, which will be introduced on July 1.
On the official document initiating cooperation have signed: Miroslaw Pawlowski – CEO of PKP SA, Marek Chraniuk – CEO of PKP Intercity and Fr.. Wojciech Olszowski – wiceekonom the Archdiocese of Krakow. Thus, the PKP Group has become an official partner of the organizer, supporting him in the use of pilgrims coming to Krakow from virtually every corner of the world.

Chairman of the Board of PKP SA Miroslaw Pawlowski said that on some rail routes to Krakow will double (from Warsaw to Krakow) and triple (from Rzeszow-Krakow) and Katowice-Kraków even fourfold increase in the number of trains. It will be the compositions of the PKP Group and local carriers. – If we would arrive to a maximum of 700 trains passing through the agglomeration of Krakow, practically we are able to carry 0.5 million passengers a day – said the president Pawlowski.
- World Youth Day in Krakow and Poland will contribute to the renewal of the Church. This is our hope. But also to the renewal of various institutions in our society, in our country. I think that these days will also contribute to a more dynamic and renewal of railways in Poland, which seems to be on the road of reform. Thanks to the pilgrim paid only once (149 zł), will be able to use three times the passing train your Railways InterCity or in any relationship or any length of the route. Ticket will be valid from 16 July to 15 August.
